Okay, I can't wait for December to post this. It has been finished for about a week 

Lucia was a Christian girl from Sicily who died for her believes, this portrait is a mixture between the Saint and our modern traditions. In Sweden, and a few other countries, we celebrate December 13th by choosing a Lucia (most schools have a popularity contest similar to a Prom Queen and most towns have a local Lucia). She is celebrated with a few maidens and of course the boys can join as gingerbread men or starboys
There are a lot of traditions and myths for the lovely, dark winter months. The thought of bringing light in the dark is very appealing 

The plan is to print this, add gold and stick it to a black bg or something Christmas-y

If anyone would like a Christmas card in December just let me know
