Countess Erzsébet Báthory was cousin to the polish king and a murderer. She killed around 612 women during her lifetime (around 1550-ish to 1614). Her belief was that if she bathered in blood she'd be young and beautiful. She might have been the one who inspired Bram Stoker to write the ever great novel about a Transylvanian count named Dracula.
